Dad Joke of the Week

I don’t need anger management.

This Week in Kentucky History

1936: Keeneland Racetrack opened in Lexington after Kentucky horsemen transformed Jack Keene’s former farm into a new racing venue. Built during the Depression, it quickly became a symbol of Kentucky horse racing tradition and later grew into one of the most respected tracks in the world.

Oliver’s Questions

Turns out, our main source of inspiration for many articles is a pint-sized, 10-year-old dude (my son) who thinks he's got all the answers, forcing me into a constant state of fact-checking.

Somewhere along the way, buying sneakers stopped making sense… and started making even more sense. If you know, you know. Here is how I got started and where I am today. Some of y’all may relate.

Man on the Move

Work Hard, Work Early, Work Wisely

Dudes, ever notice how some people seem to get more done with the same 24 hours? It’s not luck, it’s a head start they gave themselves.

On a farm, there are no days off. The cattle need feeding, no matter the weather. You wake up early, get to work, and don’t wait for someone else to do it.

That kind of work ethic sticks. My grandparents didn’t just farm, they fixed engines, welded, plumbed, and even delivered calves. Their hands were worn and weathered, but they never stopped. That’s where I learned what it really means to work hard, work early, and work wisely.

Here’s the Move: Fear is passive, confidence is active. If you focus on doing the right thing instead of avoiding the wrong thing, you break Murphy’s cycle. Prepare, stay decisive, and trust yourself because confidence repels failure.

Why bother? Because letting fear run your mind is the fastest way to lose control. Flip the mindset, take control, and Murphy’s Law won’t own you.

Health, Fitness, Outdoors

THC for spring & summer: match the vibe, not the label
